Day 8 - Looking west along Lake Ontario

6:00 am Soren and I catch the 511 Streetcar to the Bathurst subway, then after a subway ride, a bus and a hike into Bluffers Park, we are in the canoe by 7:40 am. The water is rough so we focus on getting to Highland Creek as quickly as possible.

After paddling for 2 and a half hours on Lake Ontario from Bluffers Park, Soren and I were happy to encounter the calm water of Highland Creek.

Day 7 - Paddling out from Cherry Beach

6:00 am - Erin came down with Food poisoning and so Ana and I grabbed a taxi to Cherry Beach to get out on the calm water of Lake Ontario in the early morning. The light was beautiful as the sun rose over Leslie Spit.

Stones on the shore in the beaches. After portaging Leslie Spit, Ana and I cut across to Ashbridges Bay and land in the "no leash" dog walking area of the Beaches.

After paddling for 4 hours, Ana and I arrive at the Scarborough Bluffs. Because we did not have access to the digital camera today, all images are from the Yashica Medium Format camera.

This bridge is inspiring...Stephen and I arrived here at about 1:15 pm. We parked the canoe on two duck island (2 ducks there at the time) and took it all in....amazing!
